The Role
As a Technical Systems Planner for Electrical Engineering / CAD Designer for building services (MEP), you will support our project teams in planning and documenting electrical systems.
You produce technical drawings, work out design specifications accurately and ensure that our projects are planned digitally, traceably and with a practical focus.
The focus is on electrical installations, distribution boards, cable routes, circuit diagrams and distribution board schedules, as-built documentation, and collaboration with project management, specialist planning and site supervision.
This position is ideal for people who work precisely, understand technical relationships and enjoy digital planning.
Your Responsibilities
CAD and Electrical Systems Planning
- Producing electrical drawings, installation drawings, circuit diagrams and distribution board schedules
- Designing and documenting electrical systems with AutoCAD and Revit
- Supporting 2D and 3D planning in the field of building services (MEP)
- Working out cable routing, distribution board locations, connection points and technical details
- Updating and maintaining drawing documentation as the project progresses
Project Support and Coordination
- Close collaboration with project management, specialist planning and site supervision
- Coordinating technical content with internal and external project stakeholders
- Assisting with measurements/surveys, existing-building documentation and as-built drawings
- Contributing to the review of drawing revisions and technical documents
- Maintaining and managing project documentation
Documentation and Quality
- Creating and maintaining technical documents for planning, execution and as-built records
- Ensuring clean, structured and traceable drawing presentation
- Supporting the preparation of acceptance procedures and project close-outs
- Reviewing changes, drawing revisions and technical specifications
- Contributing to a consistent, quality-oriented planning structure
Your Profile
Professional Qualifications
- Vocational training as a technical systems planner, technical draughtsperson, CAD designer or a comparable qualification
- Confident use of AutoCAD
- Experience with Revit or an interest in 3D/BIM-oriented planning is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering and building services (MEP)
- Understanding of drawing documents, installation drawings, distribution board schedules and technical documentation
- Initial professional experience in electrical planning or building services (MEP) planning is an advantage
