The Role
As a site supervisor for HVAC & plumbing, you oversee the execution of building services systems directly on site. You check whether planning, installation, documentation and the actual execution are consistent with each other.
The focus is on heating, air conditioning, ventilation and plumbing systems as well as coordination with electrical engineering, building automation / MSR (BMS) and other project stakeholders.
This position is ideal for people who understand building services, enjoy taking responsibility and can communicate clearly on construction sites.
Your Responsibilities
Site supervision and quality control
- Supervising the execution of HVAC & plumbing systems
- Checking installation quality against planning, specifications and standards
- Inspecting installation progress, pipe and duct routing, air ducts, piping, valves and system components
- Checking plant rooms, distribution systems and connections
- Identifying, documenting and following up on defects
- Supporting acceptance procedures, functional tests and commissioning
Coordination and interfaces
- Coordinating with contractors, planners, project management and the client/building owner
- Coordinating interfaces with electrical engineering, building automation / MSR (BMS) and structural trades
- Participating in site meetings and technical coordination sessions
- Monitoring schedule and execution progress
- Supporting the clarification of technical questions on site
Documentation and follow-up
- Reviewing planning documents, as-built records and technical documentation
- Recording findings, open items and defects
- Following up on outstanding work and corrective measures
- Supporting project status updates, reporting and decision-making documents
- Ensuring traceable communication within the project
Your Profile
Professional qualifications
- Vocational training, master craftsman, technician or degree in HVAC & plumbing, building services / mechanical services, building technology or a comparable qualification
- Experience in HVAC & plumbing execution, site management, site supervision or installation coordination
- Understanding of planning documents, schematics, piping and ventilation routing as well as technical documentation
- Knowledge of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing and technical building systems
- Confident use of digital tools, drawings and documentation
